We invite you to join our Catholic community us as we celebrate our rich Catholic tradition in the Sacraments!
Led by our pastor, Reverend Mark Scholz,
we are a small but friendly, faith-filled community of believers of diverse ages and backgrounds. We welcome those who are
new to the community or those seeking to learn more about the richness of our Catholic faith.
Since 1899, Our Lady of Lourdes has served the Catholic community - first as a "mission" Church then as a parish. Our current Church was built in 1927 and is home to local families as well as many visitors who pass through East Tennessee.
Built in response to the apparitions in Banneux, Belgium, the shrine in New Hope, TN is dedicated to Our Lady of the Poor. Inspired by the peace and tranquility of the natural surroundings, we continue to honor our Blessed Mother and seek her powerful intercession with her Divine Son.
IMPORTANT! Due to potential for storms on Sunday afternoon (7/18), the picnic at the Shrine has been cancelled. We will still have cake and drinks in the Parish House after Mass to celebrate Fr. Mark's 19th anniversary of becoming a Catholic Priest. Everyone is welcomed.
