Our Community
Since 1899, Our Lady of Lourdes has served the Catholic community - first as a "mission" Church then as a parish. Our current Church was built in 1927 and is home to local families as well as many visitors who pass through East Tennessee.

Virgin of the Poor Shrine
Built in response to the apparitions in Banneux, Belgium, the shrine in New Hope, TN is dedicated to Our Lady of the Poor. Inspired by the peace and tranquility of the natural surroundings, we continue to honor our Blessed Mother and seek her powerful intercession with her Divine Son.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 31
10:30 Mass on Sunday, August 31, will be held at the Virgin of the Poor Shrine. The walk-around-Rosary and parish Labor Day picnic will follow. All are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to supplement the Burgers and Hot Dogs provided by the Knights of Columbus. Directions to the Shrine can be found on our "Contact/Directions" page.
